Hello guys Nikos from Myquadcopter.gr here In today’s video, I will try to make a review for a very interesting foldable quadcopter the Eachine E511 which is a courtesy from the online store Banggood But what are the characteristics that make it stand out of all folding drones in this category while it has neither GPS nor optical stabilization sensors? Let’s start initially the communication link is at 2.4GHz so you do not need to upgrade your mobile to support the 5GHz band as with most drones in this category It has a 1080p HD camera which saves the recording to a micro sd card and not directly on the smartphone with that way we avoid interfering with the recording of the video Also its battery is of 7.4 Volts 1200 mAh which is considered quite large for this category with this battery so can be in flight for 17 minutes according to the manufacturer a really impressive flight time for a drone in this category So let’s take a closer look as I mentioned earlier is a drone with folding arms first open the rear arm and then the front one we follow exactly the same procedure on the other side of the quadcopter as you can see at the bottom of each arm there is this little foot which essentially increases the distance of the vessel from the ground this is probably the largest drone in this category the dimensions of which are 35 * 36 * 7 cm in full development and 18 * 10 * 6 cm with the arms in the storage position Its weight is approximately 270 grams E511 has motor type 1020 which are coreless and not brushless on the back, there is the quadcopter battery tray as you can see the battery is quite large and is at 7.4V 1200mAh to charge the E511 battery we use this charger here which is included in the packaging also in the package we will find only two spare propellers the user manual four protectors for propellers and one screwdriver and screws for mounting protectors in the link, you will find in the video description you will see that there are different versions ie different kits to buy this drone I would suggest you choose the kit with the camera at 1080p with at least two spare batteries but also with the carrying case which is the one here we will see later how the E511 is stored in it this option I believe will save you time because you won’t have to search for a spare battery or carrying case or even if you finally find it to wait bout twenty days or even thirty days to come from China but also will save you money because usually when we buy these accessories separately we pay twice as much what else do we have to see in drone let’s start from the nose in the front, as you see there are two very bright LEDs which are very impressive when flying at night also in the front we have the 1080p camera whose angle of reception is manually adjustable it goes down to about 80 degrees while rising upwards about ten degrees as I mentioned at the beginning of the presentation one of its advantages is that is saves the video to a micro sd card and not on mobile directly here is the sd card slot port also at the bottom in the drone belly there is also the system antenna So this is the E511 and apparently is a clone of Mavic Air we didn’t talk so much about the controller at all he controller as seen is a standard controller of this category drone plastic with the antennas playing no role it’s just a matter of appearance powered by four AAA type batteries and which are not included in the package let’s look at the controls on the controller in the center is the ON / OFF switch here the left two buttons are for the automatic take-off and automatic landing these four buttons these four buttons are used for fine-tuning To the left above the front switch is for taking photos and videos we just take a photo with a simple tap and with a long tap we get a video the rear left-hand switch with a single tap switches the drone to Headless mode while returning to the starting point with a long press and on the left-hand side we have two buttons with the front button we choose speed, three different options slow medium and fast while with the back button by simply pressing and using the stick right or left immediately rotates 360 degrees while with a long press we trigger the emergency shutdown the drone switches off power and falls to whatever height it is but before we go through tests let’s look at how the E511 is placed in the carrying case that came to us with the kit we chose what I forgot to tell you about protectors it is good to use them when we fly indoors thus wanting to guard the propellers or even the furniture of our home but you have to avoid protectors when flying outdoors if the drone when is wearing protective gear fall on a tree the protectors act as some form of a hook resulting in the quadcopter hanging on the branches and is almost impossible to get rid of it from there So that’s the case in which Banggood sent us this drone It came to me without having the outer carton box the E511 is activated by long-pressing the power button and look at how spectacular it is at night As I told you the two front leds are very bright which also help orient the drone we know at all times that the drone has a face on us as well as the rear red led which basically shows us the drone’s tail at the top has a characteristic blue light Let’s go to the field now to see its potential and how he generally behaves during the flight Once we have installed Eachine FPV on our mobile phone Turn on the controller then press and hold the ON / OFF switch to activate the drone and as with all quadcopters in this category create a hotspot to which our mobile phone must connect in this case as we see on our screen the network is WIFI 1080P- 344017 to which my cellphone is already connected and as with all drones in this category to achieve the pairing between controller and the aircraft the process is the same up and down the throttle we hear this distinctive sound and we notice the two red lights on the back of the E511 they are steadily lit. thus the pairing between transmitter and receiver is achieved we open Eachine FPV application and at the bottom right, press PLAY we have logged in, we have FPV image and now let’s see how the E511 behaves in flight the weather today sunny with a breeze of two to three Beaufort but even this little breeze you know doesn’t help lightweight quadcopters like the E511 that is to say, with the slightest breeze, they show instability in the swing let’s see if the automatic take-off button works let’s see if the automatic take-off button works very nice now let’s try the opposite the landing button we see that this is working too, let’s take off again Nice although it has some air it looks quite stable by no means are they like GPS drones larger category which we leave them in one spot and without the use of the controller, they are hovering steadily but in our case, you need to constantly use the sticks with the first upper right button we change the flight speed with one-touch we go to medium speed and as we can see the E511 becomes more nervous on each touch of the controls sticks with one more tap it goes into fast mode and here we see it even more nervous and which is not recommended for beginners with one more tap we return to the original speed position which is slow speed mode Let’s go now to the E511 to check how performs the 360 roll to perform the rotation we basically press the middle right button once and we move roll stick in our controller left or right accordingly how we want the rotation to be performed CW or CCW let’s go see it again button press right stick, sorry left stick left rotation, again button press right stick right rotation the E511 I believe this is a quadcopter which is aimed at beginners and children we will, of course, look at the recording quality especially if the total flight time is up to 14 minutes then we’re talking about a very good bargain because it’s a drone of about 50 euros only now let’s look at a small snippet of the video and photo shoots we took very good very good for his money this drone is incredible, its biggest advantage is its battery now the red lights in the tail started flashing and a rough estimate is that the flight took about 13 to 14 minutes and as seen with continuous maneuvers and not just hovering a friendly advise, when we are flying at high speed our moves should be softer by seeing the tail lights the red ones and the white ones in front blinking then we have about a minute and a half to land the quad So, in a nutshell this is E511 from Eachine I think it’s a great choice for beginners costs just 50 euros per kit with one battery as I told you it has no GPS nor optical stabilization sensors but in generally flies pretty well performs fine all the 360 rolls that kids love them as many times as I tried roll function was successful total flight time with one battery about 14 minutes Αt this point I am finished with E511’s review If you liked my video you can subscribe to my channel so that you receive timely notification of new videos I upload to youtube Thank you so much I wish you to have good and safe flights !!!
