CES 2019 – LG HU85L Laser Projector

hey everybody Carl here from Abt at
CES 2019 with Greg in the LG booth and we’ve got a really cool projector over
here can you tell us a little bit about it
Oh another amazing product here at LG this year 2019 CES this is our ultra
short throw projector this is the HU85 nice thing about is if you want a really
big image but you don’t want have to run all the wires you don’t want to have to
you know kind of tear apart your ceiling just to get that really big image
basically you take this the TV off of the stand you put it in some place you
get it about 7 inches away from the wall you get a hundred and twenty inch 4k HDR
2500 ansi lumens image to look at in your living room now is there sound
built into this as well yeah we do have sound built into it and the ability to
go to an external you know sound system so you can run a sound bar or a full
Dolby true HD DTS master audio system if you’d like but in our projector one of
the things we do that’s unique is we build in LG’s webOS system so our Smart
TV functionality is there with our magic remote and for the first time ever in
one of our projectors we have the ability to do ThinQ to search for
content and Google assistant all in the unit so it is a very complete package
for your living room with 4k Ultra HD resolution supporting HDR 10 2500 ANSI
lumens and powering it a twin laser light system alright guys it’s a great
looking picture it’s huge and it’s seven inches off the wall this thing is
absolutely amazing we’re at CES 2019 in the LG booth stick with us because we
have plenty more coming

Only thing I don't like aesthetically about it… it's white. You're going to place this in a dimly lit environment and the last thing you want is something shiny, reflective and white next to your screen.

Why don't people ask the right questions! How are they getting the Green in RGB since the two lasers produce Red and Blue? Does it have HDMI 2.1 like all their TVs do this year and what type of 4K are they running (most fake 4K with the exception of Sony's $25000 UST Laser projector). Not a single reviewer has asked any of these questions…

The centre channel speaker would need a custom stand for this projector.. Or the centre speaker would have to be behind the screen….pssst… Will be wired behind the TV… Left/right speakers…AVR.. Pro-and/or power amp…. Get real guys!!!
